Banbury

Distance: 16 miles
Typical Driving Time: 30 mins

Thanks to the M40 motorway, the journey from Banbury is straightforward and relatively quick. After joining the M40 southbound, exit at junction 10 for Bicester (also signposted for Silverstone circuit), then head towards the B4100. From here the shortest route will take you through Stoke Lyne and Poundon. These roads can be a bit narrow and twisty in places and so if you'd prefer to stick to main roads as much as possible it's best to follow the B4100 all the way through and head in the direction of Launton to use Station Road.

Bicester

Distance: 4 miles
Typical Driving Time: 15 mins

As the nearest major town to our salon in Marsh Gibbon, it's very easy to drive from Bicester. The most direct route is to head out on the A41 towards Aylesbury and then take a left immediately after you head under the railway bridge. Follow this road all the way and you'll soon arrive in Marsh Gibbon village. Depending on the exact area of Bicester you are travelling from, it may be easier to travel via Launton village using Station Road. This route is slightly twistier than using the A41 but the roads are still easy to drive down.

Chipping Norton

Distance: 21 miles
Typical Driving Time: 45 mins

There are a number of options when driving from Chipping Norton. The A44 and A34 provide the simplest journey, however this route is a lot longer than cutting through the smaller villages using the B roads. Google Maps suggest heading north-east initially on the A361 and then taking the B4031 towards Deddington. After going through Aynho continue to follow the B4100. You can then either choose to reach Bubble Bark via the villages of Stoke Lyne & Poundon, or continue down the B4100 through Caversfield and approach using Station Road in Launton.

Oxford

Distance: 14 miles
Typical Driving Time: 30 mins

Depending on where in Oxford you're travelling from, the shortest route can be around the south side of Oxford via Cowley and travel through the smaller villages including Horton-cum-Studley and Boarstall. However, it's often quicker to head north and use the A34, crossing the M40 at Wendlebury and then following the A41 past Bicester Village shopping centre on your left. Head over the next roundabout and then take a left after the railway bridge. This route is predominantly dual carriageways but traffic can build up during rush hour periods.

Thame

Distance: 12 miles
Typical Driving Time: 25 mins

You'll be able to take in some of the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside on the drive over from Thame. The quickest route is to go via Long Crendon, Oakley and Blackthorn on the B4011. It's a wide, open road that twists it's way through the open fields. Fortunately, there's very little traffic on this route and so regardless of your appointment time, your journey should take less than 30 minutes.

Witney

Distance: 20 miles
Typical Driving Time: 35 mins

Several major roads link Witney and Bicester, making the journey direct and relatively straightforward. Initially use the A40 to head towards Oxford, exiting via the A44 in order to pick up the A34 towards Bicester. At the Wendlebury junction with the M40, head straight over and follow the A41. Once you're past Bicester, turn left immediately after you head under the railway bridge; this road will lead you straight into Marsh Gibbon village.
